Designer Bird Houses are constructed primarily of aged redwood and put together mostly by screws for durability. All birdhouses may be made functional by easily removing safety screens. The tops or bottoms are removable for cleaning after birds nest. Roofs are made of rusty metal, painted plywood or cedar shakes. Birdhouses are original designs or modified copies and as of this date, are one of a kind. Here is the process we use when creating a birdhouse...
Step 1: Design
Duane and Sue Palmer start the process by designing how the birdhouse will look. Duane and Sue use cardboard models to bring the design to life.

Step 2: Choosing the right building materials.
Duane and Sue continue the process by choosing what kind of wood and or metal they will use to construct the birdhouse with. Most of the birdhouses built, are constructed with aged redwood with rusty metal, plywood, or cedar shakes.

Step 3: Construction
After choosing the materials Duane begins to construct the birdhouse by hand.

Step 4: Painting & External Decor
After the birdhouse is fully constructed Sue Palmer begins to hand paint the house and the artwork she wants on it. She also adds a special touch on some with outside decor.

Step 5: Finishing
Most birdhouse are finished with a clear coat to protect it from the weather.
